FAQs

Here are just a few pointers to help answer any immediate questions. Have more queries? Please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.

WHAT TYPE OF MARQUEE CAN WE USE?

We have teamed up with our friends at T&L Marquees who provide gorgeous clear span marquees for our weddings and events, consistently delivering an unforgettable experience. Looking for something a little different? Teepees and Tents are also on hand to provide original Swedish tipis that ooze rustic charm. Please contact them directly for further details on all things marquee.

DO I HAVE TO USE YOUR CATERING TEAM?

Yes, you will love them! We have a close relationship with Lemon Zest who provide all catering on site and by working together, we constantly thrive on team work to provide you with a memorable day.

CAN I HOLD MY CEREMONY AT COPPEY MOOR GLADES?

Coppey Moor Glades is not licensed for legal ceremonies or, for the time being, are unable to host humanist ceremonies. You will need to arrange your legal marriage ceremony separately at a registry office or local church.

WHO WILL GUIDE US THROUGH THE DAY?

Our expert event team will be present to ensure the smooth running and support throughout your day. It’s always a great idea to grab a groomsman to conduct the big announcements!

WHAT ARE ACCESS TIMES AND EVENT DAY TIMES?

We welcome you to set up along with any suppliers on the day before your wedding from 10.00am until 3pm. On the day itself, access to suppliers will be from 10.00am and must be offsite 1 hour prior to your arrival. Last orders at the bar are 11.30pm and kindly ask all guests to leave by midnight (12:15 AM). Any items left on site, must be collected by 11.00am the following day.

WHAT ABOUT ANY PARTY RESTRICTIONS?

Bands and DJs of any type are welcome! We love a good party but as an open-air venue amplified music needs to finish at 11.45pm and we respectfully requests your guests are on their way before midnight.

CAN WE HAVE ACCESS TO THE RIVER?

While the river is very inviting on those warm, sunny days, we currently don’t have safe access to the river for guests. You are welcome to go down with your photographer/videographer on the day, at pre-agreed points.

WHERE CAN GUESTS PARK?

We have a main carpark field just a few hundred metres away from your venue site. Access to your marquee is along our hardstanding track. Taxi’s must drop off within our main carparking field. Guests who require close access, are welcome to be dropped off at River Cottage. Cars can be collected the following morning by 11.00am. Any cars left on site is at the owners risk.

CAN I INVOLVE ANIMALS IN MY BIG DAY?

We love animals and welcome them to participate in your day; but as there's a horse paddock nearby, they will need to be on leads or kept in an enclosed temporary enclosure, depending on the type of animal they are.

HOW CAN OUR GUESTS GET THERE?

For driving directions, use postcode MK43 8EQ in your navigation device to go straight to Coppey Moor Glades. The entrance gate is located on Carlton Road. Please note, there is no access to the venue from the Turvey Estate main entrance.

The nearest, main line train station is Bedford (Thameslink) with regular trains from Kings Cross. Taxis are available at the train station and cost around £15 for a 15-minute journey.

CAN WE SET OFF FIREWORKS?

While we welcome firepits and sparklers, due to livestock on site, we are unable to accommodate the use of fireworks and floating lanterns.

WHAT HAPPENS TO ANY WASTE CREATED?

We kindly ask that all couples and suppliers remove their own rubbish from site. Lemon Zest Catering remove all waste sustainably, as do our bar team.
